How does BinMule work?
Every bin has a QR label. You list what is inside, with photos if you like. Later you search for an item and we show you which bin has it. Scan a label to open that bin straight away.
Do I have to rent bins from you?
No. You can track bins you already own for free (unlimited bins, no card), print your own labels at home, and never need a delivery.
How much does renting cost?
Rental packages start at $47 a month and get cheaper per bin as they get bigger (see the pricing section on our home page). Extra single bins are $10 a month. Delivery and collection are free within 10 miles of Elmwood Park, NJ (07407); elsewhere in Northern NJ we quote you first.
Who can see what is inside my bins?
Only you. Our team and drivers only see status, owner and how many days a bin has been out. They never see item lists or photos.
What happens if someone scans my label?
They see a PIN screen. Without your PIN they see nothing about the bin. With it they get a read-only view of that one bin for 15 minutes. After 8 wrong tries, access to that bin is paused for an hour and we email you.
Where do I find my PIN?
It was shown once when you signed up. You can set your own 6-digit PIN, or get a new random one, on your account page.
How do I print labels?
Open a bin and choose Print label, or use "Track bins you already own" on your dashboard. We support roll printers and common sheet sizes (Letter and A4). Print at 100% with no "fit to page".
How do I return a rented bin?
Empty it, then use "Request new bins" and choose Collect empty bins. We wipe each bin (items and photos) when it comes back.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. It works in any browser and can be installed like an app: use "Install app" in the footer, or Add to Home Screen on iPhone.
