Terms of Service

The rules for using BinMule, including our limits on liability. Please read them carefully.

Last updated: October 22, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and BinMule ("BinMule", "we", "us"). By creating an account, ordering a bin or using our website or app (the "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

BinMule lets you label storage bins with QR codes, list their contents, and search for items. We also offer a bin rental service in which we deliver and collect bins. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.

2. Your account

3. Free tracking

Free tracking lets you register bins you already own, up to the limit shown on our website, which we may change. We do not deliver, collect or take responsibility for bins you own.

4. Bin rental

5. What you may store

You must not store, or record in the Service, anything that is illegal, stolen, hazardous, explosive, flammable, toxic, perishable, living, or that attracts pests. We recommend that you do not store cash, jewelry, firearms, or documents or items that are irreplaceable or highly valuable. You are solely responsible for what you place in any bin and for where you keep your bins.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the item lists, notes and photos you add ("Your Content"). You give us a limited permission to store and display Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to upload it. Do not upload photos of other people or content that is unlawful or infringes anyone's rights. Our team does not view your item lists or photos in the normal course of the Service, but we may access information where required by law or to protect safety and the Service.

7. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service. For example, do not try to access other people's bins or accounts, guess PINs, probe or disrupt our systems, scrape or overload the Service, or use it to break the law. We may suspend or end accounts that break these Terms.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service. You are responsible for keeping your own copy of anything important. You can download your data from your account page.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service, the website, the app, QR labels and rented bins are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, security or non-infringement. We do not warrant that item lists, search results, photos, days counts or other information shown by the Service are complete or accurate.

10. No liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BinMule and its owners, employees, drivers, contractors and affiliates are not responsible or liable for any loss, damage, theft, injury or expense of any kind arising from or related to the Service, including without limitation:

You store items and use the Service entirely at your own risk. BinMule does not provide insurance. If you need coverage for your belongings, please arrange your own insurance.

11. Limit on amounts

If, despite the above, BinMule is found liable to you for any reason, our total liability for all claims will not exceed the amount you paid us for rented bins in the three months before the event that caused the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

12. Things that cannot be excluded

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived. Some places do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold harmless BinMule and its owners, employees and contractors from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, what you store, your misuse of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

14. Ending your account

You can stop using the Service at any time. To close your account, return any rented bins and contact us. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or if we stop offering the Service. Charges owed remain payable. Sections that by nature should survive ending, including 9 to 13, continue to apply.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with a new date, and for significant changes we will try to notify you. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.

16. General

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and BinMule about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where BinMule is based, and disputes will be handled in the courts of that place, unless local law requires otherwise.
