Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about BinMule, rentals, privacy and labels.
Getting started
What is BinMule?
A simple way to know which bin your things are in. Put a QR label on each bin, list what is inside, then search for any item.
Do I have to rent bins from you?
No. You can track bins you already own for free, up to the limit shown on our home page. You print your own labels at home.
How do I sign up?
Choose "Get started" on the home page. You need a name, email, phone number and a password with at least 10 characters including letters and numbers. You can also try our read-only demo first.
Rentals and deliveries
How much does a rented bin cost?
The monthly price per bin is shown on our home page. Delivery and collection are free.
How do I order bins?
Sign in, choose "Order or return bins", then "Deliver new bins". Pick a quantity, a day within the next 60 days and a time window. We confirm by email.
How do I return bins?
Empty them, then choose "Collect empty bins" and pick which bins to return. We wipe each bin (items and photos) when we collect it.
Can I cancel a request?
Yes, while it is still pending. After it is scheduled, please message us through support chat.
What can I not put in a bin?
Please read our Terms. In short: nothing illegal, hazardous, flammable, perishable, or irreplaceable and valuable (cash, jewelry, original documents you cannot replace).
Privacy and security
Who can see what is inside my bins?
Only you. Staff and drivers never see item lists or photos.
What happens if a stranger scans my label?
They see a PIN screen. Without your PIN they see nothing. With it they get a read-only view of that bin for 15 minutes.
What if someone keeps guessing the PIN?
After 8 wrong tries, PIN access to that bin pauses for an hour and we email you.
I lost my PIN.
Sign in and set a new one on your account page. You can choose your own 6-digit PIN or get a random one.
Can I use two-factor authentication?
Yes. Turn it on in your account. You will get recovery codes to keep safe.
Labels and the app
How do I print labels?
Open a bin and choose Print label. We support common roll sizes and Letter and A4 sheets. Print at 100% scale with no "fit to page".
Can I install it like an app?
Yes. Use "Install app" in the footer, or on iPhone choose Share then "Add to Home Screen".
How do I get help?
Use the support chat in your account, or email hello@binmule.com.
